St. Louis Zoo

I'm a big fan of zoos. I love the animals. I love walking around and seeing all of them. I love spending days there just to take photos. I love zoos. A couple of weekends ago, my boyfriend and I visited the St. Louis Zoo (not the first time for either of us). It was hot, but we enjoyed it.

Sunset Park

Sunset Park is really close to where I live. This is probably one of my favorite parks to take Walter to. There is a nice paved trail we can walk on that goes down by the water. There are also numerous trails that go off into the woods, too.

Driving Around

I really love street photography. I like seeing what is going on in different places. I enjoy seeing the buildings, the cars, the activity. I love taking street photos. I do not, however; like getting out of my car to take these photos. Mainly because I take them downtown on my drive to/from work and I don't always drive in the safest areas.

Road Trips + A New Project

On the weekends, I take a lot of trips. My boyfriend lives approximately 4 hours away from me (at the moment) and may end up even further away eventually. So, we do a lot of weekend trips to see each other.

At the Park

Sometimes when there is too much going on in life, I need a little trip to the park. When things start to get overwhelming, a walk in nature can really help me to clear my head.

Hot Summer Days

St. Louis has been seeing some very hot, Summer days lately. I mean 100+ degree weather. Luckily, I have a pool in my backyard, so I have a way to cool off on those days.

St. Louis Streets

I drive the streets of downtown St. Louis almost every day to/from work. I think I've mentioned this before, but sometimes I like to just stop and take some photos of what's going on or what's around me.

Kansas City, MO

This past weekend, I met up with Erica in Kansas City, MO. She was in town for work and I decided to take the train from St. Louis so we could hang out. I had never been to Kansas City before, and neither had she. I definitely had a blast

Sunshine Days

We have had some crazy, stormy weather lately. Last week, I swear it rained all week. Luckily, we had a beautiful weekend.

On the Streets

Sometimes, if I am running a bit early to work...I will stop and take some photos on my commute. This is how I get a lot of my street photos. I'll be honest, I still get anxious when I walk around and take photos. I feel like people just stare at me, and that makes me a bit uncomfortable. I am working on getting over this, so I can take more/different street photos.

Some More Macro

One day last week, I grabbed my macro attachment and got out to take some more macro photos. I'm still learning how to use it, but I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

From The Weekend

My parents left for a cruise on Saturday. I'm pretty jealous. I've never been on a cruise. My Saturday was filled with dropping them off at the airpot, running errands, a 1st birthday party, and a stop at the park.

Spring Flowers

As much as I love the cooler weather - I am ready for all of the beautiful Spring flowers to be here. We have a few around the house, but not many.

Let's Catch Up

I have no idea why, but I've been a bit MIA lately...across almost all social media. I haven't taken many photos. I just...haven't been around. I have been a bit busy, but in reality, I haven't felt much like being online lately. I am a little sad that I haven't pushed myself to get out and take more photos. Taking photos is my favorite thing to do. If we are being honest here, my anxiety has been awfully bad lately and it's kept me from doing a whole lot of things that I normally enjoy. Today is a better day, though.

Some Recents

So, I started doing a photo a day project again...and I've already quit. I just have entirely too much going on to be able to do it. I always, always end up snapping something quick that I don't like and eventually I start hating the project. So, I'm just moving on and I won't be trying again. Anyway, here are some of my photo a day photos that I really liked.

Hello, Spring

Spring is finally here! However, yesterday, I woke up to snow on the ground. It melted rather quickly, and to be honest, I was quite disappointed. I love snow. I know I am probably in the minority here, but I do love it. The plus side to Spring...more nature photos!

Rainy Days

It rained pretty much the entire weekend. It was off an on rain - but definitely gloomy + rainy all weekend. Regardless, I was still pretty busy. I felt like I had a ton of stuff to get done. Luckily, I got it all done and was able to have a little bit of relax time with Walter on Sunday.

In My Ona Bowery Bag

I have used probably every kind of fashionable camera bag out there. I’m not even exaggerating. I have tried Jo TotesKelly MooreEpiphanieTheitCheeky Lime…all of them. I was never completely satisfied with any of them. There was always something missing. Something that just didn’t make them work for me. My favorite out of all of them was the Theit Bossi - such a fashionable bag - but a bit too fashionable for me. Not quite my casual style. I’ve either returned or sold all of the bags I tried. There are so many options out there - but I just hadn’t found the one for me.

Summer in Winter

Sometimes, in the middle of Winter, we get Summer weather. It’s like that here in Missouri. A couple of weekends ago, we had 80 degree, sunshine days. I decided that was the perfect time to walk through the park with Walter.
